ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION

BMW of Sherman Oaks understands the importance and time involved in servicing and maintaining your vehicle. Every effort is made to place customers in BMW vehicles; however, it is often dependent on other customers returning loaners on a timely basis. We have various alternative transportation options including shuttle service or rental cars. We appreciate your patience as loaner vehicles are limited. 

Shuttle Service
Shuttle service is available complimentary with your BMW service. Our shuttles run Monday-Friday 8:30am-1:30pm. We also offer ride-share options, such as Uber, Lyft, or Alto, complimentary within a 10-mile radius. 

Car Rental Available Nearby
Enterprise Rent-A-Car maintains an office nearby and has vehicles available for rental Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:30pm and Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm at preferred rates.
Loaner Terms and Restrictions
  • Driver must be at least 25 years of age or older.
  • Documented proof of current insurance required. 
  • Valid California driver's license required. 
  • A mandatory $250 credit card security deposit is required.
  • We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover Card, and American Express.
  • Mileage limit is 150 miles per 24-hour period.
  • A $1 charge will apply for each mile exceeded over the maximum amount.
  • A $50 charge will apply for unpaid parking, toll, and traffic violations. (Fee is added to the total amount of fines/late fees)
  • A premium charge will apply for any damage caused to the loaner vehicle during use.
  • A charge will apply for fuel if the vehicle is not returned with the same fuel level as when the loaner was provided to you. (Refuelling charge is subject to change based on daily market prices)
  • Late returns will be charged $100/day.
  • Pets, smoking, food and drinks are prohibited in loaner vehicles.
  • A premium charge will apply for interior detail services needed for vehicles returned in soiled condition.
  • Loaner vehicles are prohibited from going out of state.

*Given the popularity of our loaner program, advance reservation required. Any service or maintenance must exceed 4 hours to qualify for a loaner vehicle. Reservations for loaners cannot be held for more than 1 hour past your appointment time. Loaner vehicles are expected to be returned within 6 hours of completion of repairs or 9:00am next day if completed after 1:00pm.
