Schedule a Pre-Inspection

Prior to your lease's end, BMW Financial Services will contact you to set up a complimentary pre-inspection appointment. You can also set this up when you visit our Sherman Oaks BMW dealership.

Make Necessary Repairs

Based on the results of your pre-inspection report, you may need to make a repair or two before returning your BMW lease. Dents, scuffs, and scratches that are less than two inches long won't need any work, but anything larger will. On the inside, minor scuffs anywhere on the trim or seats are acceptable, but cuts, burns, tears, stains, and formidable odors should be taken care of before your final turn-in date.

You also need to make sure your regular maintenance work is up to date, with any damage caused by neglect repaired. Regular wear is expected, but anything beyond the norm needs to be repaired or replaced. You can easily do this by scheduling a BMW service appointment at our dealership; you can even bring in the report and we'll help you figure out what services need to be done.

Return Your BMW Lease

After all is said and done, you can make an appointment with our dealership to turn in your BMW lease. If you haven't had your pre-inspection, we'll go ahead and inspect your car when you bring it in. We'll also make any needed repairs and invoice you for the work on your vehicle return statement. Please note that the work we do may be more expensive than what you might have incurred if repairs were done prior to your turn-in date.

If you don't plan on purchasing your lease, remember to take out all of your personal belongings. Make sure all original components that came with the vehicle are placed inside, like the driver's manual or any spare tires. If you are buying the car, you'll still need to go through the return process. A new transaction will be drawn up for the purchase of the vehicle.
